Sleep is a natural state in which nearly all voluntary muscles are inactive. Young adults and children logically need more sleep because their bodies are developing; fully developed adults tend to only need 6-8 hours of sleep.
If you do not get in your hours of sleep a day you will find yourself quite fatigued during the day, and with little or no energy. This situation is called sleep debt; there are two types of sleep debt, partial and total. Partial occurs when you miss a few hours every day of your usual sleeping schedule. This usually occurs from external sounds or events that interrupt your sleeping state. However, you can also find it difficult to fall asleep if you’re lying on an uncomfortable surface, with uncomfortable, itchy, blankets or sheets. So, in order to solve this problem, you should check into buying new bedding, or perhaps an entirely new mattress. If you have a small room, you will have to get a bed that will fit and match. A typical, space saving bed is the folding bed. This bed can be folded and pushed against a wall to save a great deal of space. Of course, if you have a large room and lots of space to use up, you can get a princess bed or a double bed. It’s entirely up to you which bed you get, as long as you can sleep comfortably without having to wake up with neck or back aches every morning.
Total sleep debt occurs when you simply miss or skip a night staying awake when you should be sleeping. This usually occurs when one goes out for parties. You will eventually find yourself extremely tired the next day, falling asleep at strange times and ruining your daily schedule. It’s usually quite difficult to get back on schedule.
